Catie Lausten is a great friend and talented indie folk singer/songwriter in NYC
I have had the pleasure of working on a few creative projects for her music.
-
I creative directed + helped style Catie for her album cover shoot. I also did the post production on the photos illustrating and designing the cover you see on Spotify!
-
I helped Catie write up a professional bio to use in her Silver Review feature
-
I graphic designed a poster for Catie’s upcoming gig.
Creative Direction for Catie’s Debut Album Cover
Catie asked me if i would get involved with making her album cover come to life.
It was an obvious yes and I got to collaborate with photographer Andrew Krysinski on the project.
”It is ambient and esoteric. It feels like sun on your face and the bittersweet melancholy of leafing through old magazines or finding a vintage valentine with a sexy little love message inside. Or a bike ride in the middle of nowhere.”
…first thing I said to Catie upon listening to the album in full for the first time

Bio I helped write for Catie’s Silver Gun Records ‘Silver Review’ Feature:
‘Virginia native turned Brooklyn based singer-songwriter Catie Lausten wraps her angelic sonic tendrils around your eardrums in her debut album 'All Roads Lead to Parking Lots'. Her newest tracks are laced with lived experience and layered symbolism, haunted by a quiet ache that feels both reticent and universal. Catie's music feels like hanging stockings on a clothesline beneath the lazy golden sun, and the listening experience - 'Like being punched by a cloud, the sound is both powerful and delicate.'
