Tamara Comolli is a luxury jewelry brand I had the pleasure of working with for their “Let It Glow” event in Montauk, thanks to a referral from my karmic fairy godmother and former colleague, Bess Matassa. I was contracted to work their June 9th event at the award-winning wellness retreat Shou Sugi Ban House, nestled in the Hamptons just outside of New York City.

To set the scene: I landed in NYC from our honeymoon around 7:00 PM the night before, only to be up by 6:00 AM to make my way east. This was after three rather non-restorative weeks—recovering from emergency surgery (while still working my full-time job, horizontally), running wild in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan pulling off my own wedding, and soaking in some Caribbean sun with my new husband.

Instead of doing the sensible thing (i.e., saying no to a sparkle-studded luxury event immediately post-honeymoon), I said, “Why not? I’ll get plenty of sleep when I’m dead.” So I booked my LIRR ticket, packed up my crystal collection, and prepped diligently over honeymoon sunsets and poolside piña coladas.

At the event, I had prepped ~20 natal charts in advance, which I then unpacked in intimate one-on-one readings with guests. These were paired with intuitive oracle pulls and a multi-sensory experience using my personal crystal collection (yes, I traveled with it). In addition to these core offerings, I designed branded astrology and crystal symbology takeaways, and wrote and delivered a 10-minute speech on the metaphysical symbolism and historical context of gemstones—tailored specifically to the array of 20–40 carat loose jewels being specially showcased, each one glittering under the watchful eye of full-scale security.

I look back with no regrets… just sparkle, sleep deprivation, and a heart full of gratitude. Enjoy a peek into the day below…
